A current qualifying site for the men's U.S. Senior Open, Republic GC opened in 2002 with a design by Art Schaupeter and has received critical acclaim from local publications. The course plays along Salado Creek with many oak, elm and mesquite trees along the way. It is located about a ten-minute drive southeast of the Riverwalk; access is from Interstate 37 at Exit 135, or from Interstate 410 (Connally Loop) at Exit 39.

Great course, play 5-6 times a month and always enjoy. Sometimes maintenance staff not paying attention, but a quick call to club house and fixed quickly. Worth giving it a go.

Great course just too far from my house!
Greens where very fast as they said in the club house!
Great course, however recommend you not start at 8 AM! The sun is blinding on modt holes!

Enjoyed the course, but the greens were a huge disappointment, especially after having hosted a US Open qualifier there recently. A lot of sins can be forgiven, but never poor greens!

Maintenance personnel don't seem to understand that the customer has precedence. They drive while putting, travel to and fro while players are attempting to play their shots and generally act like it's their course and the customers are impinging on their territory. Odd that!!
