This historic 18-hole golf course, the first inductee into the Texas Golf Hall of Fame, was the original site of the PGA Winter Tour. Located near the heart of San Antonio in historic Brackenridge Park, this course is the oldest of the six municipal golf courses. The original A.W. Tillinghast design opened in 1916; the Texas Open originated here in 1922 and stayed until 1959. Architect John Colligan kept fifteen of the original original holes during a restoration / renovation that concluded in October 2008; the course now measures 6,243 yards from the back tees (par-71).
