Although this course existed prior to 1922, the club credits five-time Open Championship winner James Braid with much of the existing design that remains there today. The course has a total of 83 bunkers, 81 of them on 15 of the holes here.
Visitors are welcome at Panmure except on Saturdays and Tuesday mornings, which are reserved for members and their guests. Parties of more than four golfers need to book in advance.

Played here in October 2016 and was dissapointed. Greenfee was reduced a bit but there was more work going on than told in the proshop. Direction to next tee was insufficient.

Excellent course. We played a couple of weeks before the Amateur Championship (held here and at nearby Carnoustie) and it was in fantastic condition.
A really good test of golf.
The opening two holes might appear a little ordinary (as are the closing two) but they are by no means easy, but once you get past those the rest of the holes and as good as you will find anywhere else in Scotland.
Clubhouse is good with excellent food.

Excellent test of links golf. Greens recently slitted / sanded and were not running as quick as you would normally expect but still flat and true.

Excellent Links/Heathland course. Tightest layout I have played with excellent true greens. Worth a visit if you are in the Carnoustie area.
