This seaside links course was originally designed by Jack Morris (nephew of Old Tom Morris) and opened in 1907. Five-time Open champion James Braid oversaw a redesign in 1931, while the club has purchased land in the intervening years.

Visitors are welcome; the summer walking rates are £65/round or £80/day, although an EGU cardholder discount is available. The rate during the 2014 Open Championship is £75.

Nice course if your on the Wirral. The holes alongside the estuary are particularly scenic. Doesn't have the feel of a 100 year old course.

Course in excellent condition following the final qualifying round for the RICOH Womens British Open. Wonderful views over the River Dee to North Wales. Well worth a visit.
