Royal Liverpool Golf Club
Meols Dr
Hoylake, Q1 CH47 4AL, United Kingdom

Golf has been played here since 1869, although the current course was laid out by the notable architect Harry S. Colt during the early 20th century. The club is alternately (and famously) known as "Hoylake." The course hosted the 2014 Open Championship, won by Rory McIlroy. The club has also hosted The Amateur Championship 18 times, the Ladies British Amateur Championship three times, and the 2012 Women's British Open.

While visitors are welcome at £110, this very challenging course has hosted the Open Championship twelve times, so is not appropriate for higher-handicap players.

Weakest course on the open rota along with Royal St Georges.Immaculate condition and fantastic welcome from all personnel. However of the NW courses, Royal Birkdale is easily the best with Royal Lytham having more variety than Hoylake.

Hosting 2014 British open,Immaculate turf everywhere. As typical good T shots get the position and length bad ones get punished.Risk reward shots at all holes.Great course.BUNKERS ARE DEEP.

Wonderful links and a true test. Played in gale force winds so scoring was tremendously difficult but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Great history , clubhouse fab, great day!
