Great Gorge Country Club
400 State Route 517
McAfee, NJ 07428-1140, United States

973.864.6700
Great Gorge offers three incredible George Fazio designed 9 hole courses.

The RAIL course offers some amazing views and makes excellent use of the rolling terrain. The classic par 3 third maintains the railroad trestles of the early 20th century. The LAKE course winds along Black Creek demanding a mix of great course management and strategic shot-making. The QUARRY course takes players through some of the great mining history that gave Great Gorge its name and requires some of the ost skillful shot-making of the three nines.

Great track. Old school Playboy course circa 1970. Beautiful scenery and challenging holes.

For an amateur golfer, the greens can be tough...slow on the uphills and fast on the downhills...course was in great shape, great food and hospitality, and nice scenery. Cart paths gave us a few bumps here and there but was a good experience overall

Tee boxes need some work and I think as the course is going through some building work this may happen soon. Thought greens were fine, some brown patches on two, could be more consistent, some fast, some slow and some very fast.

2nd par three (Rail) is fun, prepare for a 3 putt or more if you get it in the wrong place.

Pace of play was fine for a Saturday, food at the turn from the hut was crap!
