Bayonet Golf Course
1 McClure Way
Seaside, CA 93955-7100, United States

831.899.7271
Architect Gene Bates oversaw a recent redesign of Bayonet, a picturesque course overlooking the Monterey Peninsula. Although the overall length of Bayonet has increased only 16 yards, the strategy and difficulty have been ratcheted up by Bates' new bunkering, while the Kikuyu and poa annua grass is gone, replaced by Jacklin T1 bent grass.

Really great value for the Monterrey area. Well conditioned, especially for the drought this year, really friendly and helpful staff. Good eats in the restaurant too. Not crazy about some of the design of the green complexes, approach shots can be tough to figure out, often I found myself having to play off the green and chip back to the hole. Other than that, had a wonderful time.

A great course with some great views. Tricky putting greens, and bailing out to a safe zone & not taking on the bunkers sometimes is a wise choice.

Played during 2013 AT&T week. Very demanding but fair. Greens were in much better shape than when I played it in 2011 during AT&T week. It is a must play public course when on the Monterey Peninsula.

Overall a nice public course, probably one of the better public tracks I have played. Played from the tips and it is very demanding, especially if there is wind. Greens where in decent shape, probably a 9, bunkers where ok, the fairways had some bare spots and where not marked as ground under repair. Worth the money, again, very demanding.

nice course, played Bayonet. Great views, fair and fast. will definitely be back again to play the other side.

Both Bayonet and Black Horse are in great shape ahead of the PGA Club Pro Championship. Course and greens are very tough, but VERY fair. If you make a bad score here, the course just got the best of you. No tricked holes/ blind holes here. Local knowledge a big plus.

Beautiful course. Tighter than Black Horse, but the greens aren't as undulating.
