Bethesda Country Club

Bethesda, MD 20817-1499, United States

Originally, a nine-hole course was part of what was known as Montgomery Country Club. After several changes of ownership, the club took its name in 1947, then a second nine was added in 1949. After Interstate 270 and the Capital Beltway were built in the 1960s, the course had to be reconfigured in 1961. It hosted the first Greater Washington Open in 1988 and an LPGA event in 1990. Then in 1992, a four-year rebuild of the course took place with a design by Ohio-based architect Arthur Hills.

This is a private club; visitors are permitted only as guests of members.
