Alister MacKenzie designed this old-school course, which opened in 1924. This is an extremely exclusive club; membership is by invitation-only and typically includes only former U.S. presidents, politicians, lobbyists, and men in related fields.
This *is* a men-only club; women are allowed only for four hours on a single Saturday before Christmas to shop for their husbands in the pro shop. Otherwise, women are not welcome on the course or in the clubhouse and are typically escorted off the property.
