Wood Wind Golf Club
2302 W 161st St
Westfield, IN 46074-9625, United States

Designed by original owner Bob Thompson, this course was first known as Hanging Tree, later named Bent Tree, and is now under management by Cohoat & O’Neal Management Corp.

On March 9, 2015, developer George Sweet of Brenwick Development Co. proposed bulldozing the course and building a housing development on the property, but by the next morning, over 500 citizens had signed a petition opposing the redevelopment. Whether the idea is dead and the golf course will remain is unclear.

Rates vary by season and are posted on the club's web site.

In the last few years this course has been on a rapid decline. From the friendliness of the management staff to the quality of the course, everything about this course has gotten bad. Not worth the time (expect a 5+ hour round on the weekend), not worth the money ($40 greens fee when bunkers, tee boxes, and greens are all in need of work), or hassle (better customer service needed from entire management staff). There are plenty of other courses in the area at this price point that better worth your time and money.

Nice as far as scenery. Needs to be taken better care of, bunkers in bad shape. Pace of play very slow, 5 hour round of golf expected. For the money should be in better shape and have a faster pace of play.

Doc and Scott do an excellant job running the clubhouse. Course however needs work. Sandtraps and tee boxes are awful and for the most part of the season have shown no improvement.
