This is one of Pete Dye's most famous designs, sending golfers from one length-and-wind scenario into another rather quickly. And technically, Dye has still been designing Crooked Stick; he lives in Carmel and his tweaks to the course — most recently just before the 2009 U.S. Senior Open.

Only about 230 golfers are members here. Guests are permitted with members on designated days and for designated events; a guest fee applies.
