This new course was designed by architect Simon Gidman and starts and ends in woodland terrain, but the middle of the course is routed through more open territory. Interestingly, Gidman chose a "classical" routing in which the course begins and ends at the clubhouse; the 9th green and 10th tee are at the far end of the course. Four water hazards and 80 bunkers will be in play.
Centurion is a private country club; visitors are permitted only as invited guests of members. An autumn 2013 opening is planned.

The course continues to build on its approach of doing things right, by not letting things go unattended. The heavy rain at the end of last year and the beginning of this had identified wet patches around the course. New drainage has already been installed and the greens are in unbelievable condition.
The welcome is friendly and cheerful and the staff treat you with respect without over doing airs and graces. A great place to relax and an even better location to play golf. It will just get better and better.
