This genuine links course lies on a peninsula that juts out into the shallows of the sea across from Portmarnock and east of the City of Dublin. Golf has been played here since 1894, although Commander John Harris remodeled the original nine holes into six, with three new holes coming via land acquisition. Then in 1993, Patrick Merrigan completely reworked those three newer holes.

Visitors are welcome, but advance booking is highly recommended. The standard visitor rate is €50, although GUI and ILGU members receive various discounts. Societies are also welcome with prior arrangement.
