Located in the Loess Hills of western Iowa, Bent Tree plays over rolling terrain with a design by Texas-based architect Jeffrey D. Brauer. Five sets of tees that stretch the course from 5,152 to 7,022 yards.
The standard rates (with cart) are $42 on Mondays through Thursdays, then $50 on Fridays, weekends, and holidays until 2:00 p.m. CDT. Twilight rates, senior discounts, and memberships are also available.

Traps were grown over with weeds in places, washed out in others. Greens were just aerated and some had disease, mower had an oil leak and operator didn't catch it for 3-4 holes. Would not play again unless greens are repaired.

Worst tee-boxes and fairways I have seen in a long time. Reminiscent of a course I used to play growing up that cost $9 for 9 holes. Every drive is ruined by the ball bouncing left or right due to the poor conditions, and even in the fairway the ball was sitting on dirt. Greens were in great shape. Bunkers were unplayable, mostly dirt with huge washouts. On top of all that, course ranger was surly and irritable. Very unfortunate.
