Generous fairways with tougher greens. Greens were well maintained, fairways had browned out some. Pace of play was fine finished in 4:20 on a Friday afternoon.

No marshals ensuring people keep pace

Friendly starter. Was interested in our having a good time. Check in was quick and easy. She was informative too.

Average golf course, nothing special to see here. Very vanilla golf course. Pace of play was horrible. Not enough time between tee times.

Nice golf course, wide on many holes. The greens are tough, a lot of slopes.

$56.00 is too much for that course and pace of play is terrible

VERY slow. 5 1/2 hour round as tee times were backed up a half-hour, and then we waited for at least 5 min on every tee box. even worse, there was not a single ranger out on the course to remind golfers to keep pace.

Course wasn't too bad. Definitely good for a forest preserve course. But it took us 5 hours to play. Teed of at 10am on a Sunday. It's a fairly generous course. I was able to tie my personal best score without playing very well at all.

The course maintenance of highland Woods is the best I have seen on a forest preserve course. The course was very very wet and would recommend that you what at least one day after a good rainfall to play. The worst part about the course is the pace of play, very busy. I played on a friday afternoon and the round took nearly 6 hrs to play! Longest on record for me.

To play 18 holes on a Saturday in Chicago in less than 4.5 hours is a rare feat. Granted it was still late April and our tee time was at 8am, but still we were never pressured from behind nor did we have to wait at any point in the round. And $41 to walk is pretty reasonable for a decent course. There are four sets of tees from which to choose, so the course can be as challenging as you want it to be.
