Two gorgeous seaside links courses are part of this club, which is located on the easternmost tip of land in Fife, southeast of Saint Andrews. Golf has been played here since at least 1786. The Balcomie course was extended to 18 holes in 1900 by Old Tom Morris, while the Craighead course debuted in 1998 with a design by the retro-traditionalist architect Gil Hanse.

Visitors are welcome; the peak-season (May-September) walking rates are £65 on weekdays, then £80 on weekends. Same-day rates for both courses are £90 on weekdays, then £110 on weekends. Winter, shoulder-season, and other special rates are also available.
