While the club itself dates to 1904, they moved to this site in the early 1970s. After lengthy construction of a design by the famous Irish architect Eddie Hackett, the first nine holes opened in 1975. The course is located southeast of the town of Tuam on the the R347 / Athenry Road.
Visitors are welcome on weekdays at €20, while societies and corporate groups are welcome Mondays through Saturdays with advance arrangement.
