The club was founded in 1918, then moved to this site in 1923, when the original 9-hole course debuted. In 1996, the club purchased additional land, which the late architect Tom Craddock Malahide used to lay out the current 18-hole course. The club is located southeast of the town of Claremorris, west of the N17.
