Architect Tom Dunn is credited with the design of original nine holes in 1895; Harry S. Colt oversaw changes and designed a second nine in 1922. Those additional holes were not completed until 1928. Meanwhile, J.H. Taylor some modifications to the first nine. Since 2000, architect Martin Hawtree has overseen other various modifications to the course.
Visitors are welcome on weekdays at £34/round or £50/day. Visitors may also be permitted to play on weekends at the discretion of the club manager; the weekend rate is £50/round. Junior, county card-holder, and guest-of-member discounts are available.
