It is not marketing hype when we say that this is truly one of the notable historic golf courses in the world; the Open Championship was first played over the Prestwick Old Course in 1860 and was last played here in 1925. The British Amateur Championship has been played here eleven times, most recently in 2001 (Michael Hoey of Northern Ireland).
Visitors are welcome with a valid handicap certificate on all weekdays, morning and afternoon. During the summer on Sundays, limited morning and afternoon tee-times are available.

steeped in history and the course and club house compliment each other, what a place for golf

The real home of championship golf - just dripping with history - get a caddie or else you will get lost! Great, great historic links, maybe the best.

Steeped in history and beautifully maintained. Layout is very tight with some tees in range of wayword drives.
