Strategically located on the sunny Kohala Coast of the Big Island - the golf capital of Hawaii, Waikoloa’s two championship golf courses offer unparalleled opportunities for golfers of all levels. Whether you’re looking for a challenging test of skills or a relaxing round with family or friends, the distinctive Beach and Kings’ courses, created by some of the game’s most renowned designers, will provide you with golf experiences that will linger in your memory forever.
The BEACH Course winds its way along historic lava flows near Anaehoomalu Bay, almost distracting even avid golfers with hypnotic ocean views, swaying coconut palms and tropical tradewinds. The par 5 seventh is known throughout the islands as the most spectacular oceanfromt par 5 in Hawaii. Its rocky point over the breakers is an awesome place to spot humpback whales and misty, distant views of other Hawaiian Islands.
The classic KINGS course offers Big Island golfers the best of two worlds: a great links-style layout that reflects the rugged seacoast of Scotland – yet set on an island paradise where brilliant color flashes across the thousand shades of green.

Nice course, however pace was glacial. 5 hours to play 18. No hospitality to speak of, starter was disinterested, or maybe just confused by all the golfers that were ready to play.

Very challenging layout. Must pick the right tees to have a good experience, especially if the wind is blowing. Most holes wide enough to let you hit away but you still need to be strategic. Only one ocean hole but it is pretty spectatcular. Only a couple of greens were spotty around the edges and a few spots like that in the fairway. Great holes in finishing stretch - 15, 17 (in a canyon surrounded by walls of lava) and 18.

Poor value and the course was no better than a $35 course in any small town on the mainland. Greens were particularly poor. Very disappointed. Only one hole in 18 was along the ocean so why did they call it the Beach Course? Hummm!

Played the Beach course and really was disappointed. The experience was much like a regular muni course on a weekend except with much higher prices. Slow play, poorly maintained course, a layout that feels like you are in a sub-division, grouchy starter who sent us to the wrong tee, etc. If you want a great experience pay a bit more and go to Mauna Lani, or for a great value in a wonderful setting head up to Big Island Country Club.

Extremely poorly maintained. All Hawaii courses should get 5 stars for scenery, but this place somehow forgot they were right on the ocean. Not worth the price.
