In addition to the 18-hole course designed by five-time Open champion and prolific architect James Braid, a 9-hole short course tailored for beginners is also available.

Visitors are welcome; the standard rates are £25/round or £36/day on weekdays, then £29/round on weekends and bank holidays. Junior, county card-holder, and guest-of-member rates are available, as are memberships. Societies are also welcome with prior arrangement.

This is a beautiful little course designed (the front 9 anyway) by James Braid. A great old fashioned heathland layout that you can open your shoulders on the front side, but need to be very strategic on the home nine which is on common land.
I would thoroughly recommend it.
