Moose Run is advertised as the world's northern-most 36-hole golf facility, since the opening of the Creek Course in 2000. Both are located on the Army side of Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, an active United States military installation.

HILL COURSE:
This course opened with nine holes in 1952, while the second nine debuted three years later. Both were designed by combat engineers stationed at Fort Richardson, but the layout has held up well enough to by ranked third-best in all of Alaska by Golf Digest.

CREEK COURSE:
Architect Robin Nelson designed this layout, which debuted in 2000 and, at 7,324 yards, is the longest course in the state of Alaska. The Creek occasionally plays over and around Ship Creek, hence the name. The course was also designed to accommodate the movements of various wildlife, including bears, fox, wolves, and the eponymous moose.
