Golf is offered at Ironwood Golf Course, an 18-hole, par 72, championship course owned by the City of Gainesville and operated by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs. The layout meanders around century-old pines and shimmering lakes and achieved the prestigious designation as an "Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" in July of 1999.
