Shiskine Golf & Tennis Club

Blackwaterfoot, V7 KA27 8HA, United Kingdom

This unusual 12-hole course lies hard by the sea in the village of Blackwaterfoot on the Isle of Arran. Marketing hype aside, the scenery is quite remarkable.

The course was originally 9 holes back in 1896 and then it went to 18 holes. During the war the 6 extra holes were lost due to agriculture and we were left with 12. It has been 12 ever since and it takes just over 2 hours to play the 12 magical holes that make up a round at Shiskine.

Too many courses describe themselves as gems. Shiskine truly is one. Great day out wind, rain, sun and hail. :)

If you ever to go to the Isle of Arran this is a must play. If you enjoy historical golf courses get to the Isle of Arran. For £40 you can play all day and the cake in the clubhouse is fabulous
