Located five miles north of the Leeds city centre, Sand Moor plays over picturesque countryside with views of Eccup Reservoir, the Harewood Estate, the Dales and, on a clear day, the White Horse of Hambleton Hills in North Yorkshire. The eighteen-hole, par-71 course itself opened in 1921 and was later enhanced by Dr. Alister Mackenzie.

Standard summertime visitor rates are £50/round or £60/day on weekdays, then £60/round on weekends. Playing as the guest of a member is £16/round and £24/day.
