Longniddry Golf Course is a blend of woodland and links styles located on the south side of Firth of Forth. There are no (men's) par-5s, but some of the par-4 holes play into the prevailing westerly winds. Harry S. Colt did the original course design, although some modifications were overseen by James Braid in 1936, Phillip Mackenzie Ross, and Donald Steel in more recent times.

The club previously hosted Open Championship qualifying, as well as the British Seniors, the Ladies Home Internationals, the Commonwealth Youths Tournament, and the 2013 U.S. Kids Golf European Championships.

Great test of golf, but looking a little rough round the edges. Bunkers need to be raked and surrounds cut and trimmed.

Superb golf course
  jpjiggy - 7/19/13
great course although the hot weather has burnt the fairways but greens kept wet (maybe over wet as some were too lush)shame about the hospitality being a little frosty (guess they had had too many visitors during "Open Week")

Great Place, really welcome visitors both in the pro shop and the clubhouse. Great value for food. The course has some tight holes surrounded by trees as well as some great typical link hole.

Great course which is excellently maintained. I was a member here for a year but unfortunately didn't renew as the travel time including my round just couldn't fit into my lifestyle.

But the course is a REAL test with lots of tight fairways and challenging holes especially when the wind is blowing.

Good course, enjoyed it apart from the wind, which spoiled an otherwise great day
