Located on the banks of the Red River of the North, Winnipeg Canoe Club is a 9-hole course with flat fairways and out-of-bounds on nearly half of the holes. The greens are average-sized and undulating. The signature hole is #6, a long 500-yard-plus par 5, requiring the tee shot to carry over a small creek. Then some mid fairway trees will hinder your second shot, before having to shoot over a bunker in front of the green. Water comes into play on two of the nine holes.

There is an additional set of tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round. Other amenities at the site include a short-game practice area, putting green and restaurant.
