Played an Inter club match here on Saturday, and despite getting well beaten I really enjoyed playing the course which was well maintained, a good and fair challenge. The greens were excellent and rolled truly, the fairways good, and though some of the bunkers were waterlogged due to recent rain they appeared well looked after.
The clubhouse reeks of history (125 years old) but is very comfortable. The food and drink was good, the staff excellent and friendly. The other team and golfers on the course were welcoming.
I think the par 3s are the stars of the course, none being easy and each having their own challenges. There isn't any real rough to talk of.
Will I play there again? Yes definitely.
