Located about seven miles east of Winchester, Alresford Golf Club opened in 1890 with nine holes and was extended to 18 in 1993. The club has hosted various amateur and professional events, including the 2004 Hampshire PGA Strokeplay Championship. A new practice range and short game area are under construction.
The club advises avoiding the Tichbourne entrance to the course because of poor road conditions; they recommend using Jacklyns Lane instead.

Nice enough course. Some long walks between Greens to next tees. Course is not very long at just over 6,000 yards. But scoring is tough as it’s protected by very difficult Greens. 3 putting is very common.
