This downland-style course runs over a chalk base, so drainage is rather good all year round. Visitors and societies are welcome with advance arrangement and a valid handicap certificate. The visitor walking rate is £40 during winter months and £50 during the summer. Please note that visitor play on weekends is seasonal, so advance booking is recommended.

Very good course and the condition has improved dramatically over the last few years with the new head greenkeeper. The greens are very fast and true. However the clubhouse is often empty and the bunkers were often inconsistent.

Lovely course. Greens had just been pricked and had retained a lot of water. Some bunkers were poor, with only a light cover of sand over sticky mud. Other than that, a great course, beautiful, interesting and challenging. I know they have just hired a new greenkeeper and are investing in rectifying the above problems. Will be a stunning course when done.
