The first nine here is fairly wide open and runs over relatively flat land, while the second nine goes through the Afton Alps ski area.
*** Despite the Hastings ZIP code, the course is actually located north of the Mississippi River in Denmark Township, in Washington County.

The course is getting better each year. My only complaint is that they cut the grass in the middle of the morning and don't seem to care that you are trying to play. I have had a cutter come up to the tee turn around and go right back down the fairway when he could see that I was wating to drive. They will also wait right behind you with their motors running. This can be annoying. But as far as pace and open times this is one of the best in the area for being able to get on for a fast 9. The back is very hilly so if you walk as I do you better be in shape.
