This parkland course began life in the 1980s as a 9-hole layout, but was expanded to 18 holes in 2005. While not the longest course in England, it was designed to reward straight hitters, rather than long hitters.

A very relaxed venue set in lovely grounds and kept in pretty good condition.
My only slight moan was that the 12th hole was a bit unfair if you hadn’t played it before as you had no idea where you were going or what was hidden behind a line of trees.
Quite tight and short, some holes were being hollow tined and so putting wasn’t as good as it could have been. But overall I liked it a lot and would happily play it again next year.
