Founded in 1908, Newcastle-under-Lyme GC has always played over the present site, but opened with nine holes in 1908. (The second nine opened during the 1960s.) Much of the course runs through mature woodlands. #15 is generally regarded as the course's signature hole.

Visitors and societies are welcome on weekdays, but on weekends only guests of members are permitting. Phone reservations in advance are required.
