tough front 9 (46) followed by acceptable 2nd 9 (38)...enjoyed the course and looking forward to playing it again tomorrow! Overall course is in great shape...fast but true greens...dont miss the fairways and you can score low.

Lots of blind shots off the tee, with aiming points to provide the best line to the green. Very traditional golf course.

THe course and the layout are outstanding. The value, for a weekend, was tolerable but the vista and challenge of the course makes up for it. Fairways were in great shape, greens good (other players not repairing their ball marks made it difficult to get a true roll) and the first cut added a challenge without making errant shots playable. The only drawbacks were the pace of play (slow groups had us waiting an average of 5-7 minutes between shots), and the Marshals got on us for looking for an errant ball for over 3 minutes. Get the feeling that the members behind us (two some sandwiched between three groups of four) forced his hand and really placed a dark cloud over a great round.

Great course, but a tough one. I played it once, and I'm told that in order to score well you have to play it more than once. There are a lot of blind shots and confusing holes, but it's a really fun layout. There is a TON of sand, and while the two short par 4s (both well under5 300 yards) sound easy, one false move and you're looking at a bogie or worse.

course is a great lay-out - kudos to Curtis Strange - tough par threes - greens were shaggy and some bare spots in fairways

Fantastic layout. A number of the holes are replicas of holes on PGA courses (i.e. Augusta, Riviera, St Andrews) Great staff and beautiful scenery. Great value.

IMO, course more suitable for lower handicaps (I'm not one). Scoring is tough if the ball is not in the fairway.

I had heard that the course was in poor shape, found that some of the tees and fairways were dried to brown, several greens were in poor shape...if these were fixed, the course would be terrific..it's near Col. Downs racetrack, it is laid out beautifully, concrete card paths, great club house/pro shop, some guy running around giving out free sleeves of Titlist balls, several portapotties, and helpful employees.
