Spyglass Hill Golf Course
2700 17 Mile Dr
Pebble Beach, CA 93953-2668, United States

831.625.8563
Spyglass Hill was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., as a part of the master plan for the Pebble Beach ocean front. S.F.B. Morse, founder of Pebble Beach Company, and chairman of the board of Del Monte Properties, envisioned a string of golf courses around Del Monte Forest's shoreline. Morse commissioned Jones to design a course between Cypress point and Pebble Beach.

How tough is Spyglass Hill? From the back tees, the rating and slope is 75.3 / 148. Holes 6, 8, and 16 usually rank among the toughest on the PGA Tour. During the 1999 men's United States Amateur, the stroke average of the field during medal play was over 79.

Spyglass Hill is an annual co-host to the PGA Tour's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, formerly known as the Crosby Clambake. The name of the course comes from the Robert Louis Stevenson novel Treasure Island; the names of the holes here also reference characters or other elements from the book.

Enjoyed playing, but they keep telling us to play faster. That made it no fun.

World class golf with great scenery. Great walking course. Really tough on the day before the US Amateur practice rounds. Rough was heavy and deep/wet due to the marine layer.

Great course with immaculate conditions. Very well designed and a great layout/variety of holes. Only negative is I've never felt more rushed on a course. Even considering we were 1hole ahead the whole time. We were also only a 2some and had a caddie Dave, who, was rude and at times, couldn't be bothered it seemed like. It was not as enjoyable an experience as I had hoped.

Haven't played this course since 70's. Still a great test!!

One of the best courses in the world. Never played Augusta but if I got the chance, I would envision it to look like Spyglass Hill absence the ocean holes of course.

My "happiest place on earth". Incredible to walk with a caddie. Better than Pebble.

Great course, tough but fair,
even the fog did not spoil the day

Hard golf course. This course kicked my butt! Really played long. It is beautiful and in great condition.
