This semi-private course is located adjacent to Lackland Air Force Base and offers special rates for military, police, and firefighters. The course features a blend of Texas wildflowers, cacti, bluebonnets, and historic mesquite trees. A $3.5 million renovation was just completed by the original architect, Roy Bechtol, that includes drought-resistant Zoysia across the course, while the opening and closing nines have been reversed.

I played this course for the first time and was extremely impressed with the entire ambiance. From the time I checked in until I left the course, there wasn't one thing that I could complain about--even the starter was friendly! I very much enjoyed my day there and the only thing that saddened me was that the round had to end. I will return!

I played today and the greens were awesome and extremely fast but very pure. The sandtraps are still in some disarray from the recent heavy rains and they have free drop behind the bunkers, no closer to the pin rule in place for two more weeks during rehab of bunkers. Fairways were excellent but rough is exactly that, it is thick and hard to get great contact, so you have to keep em straight. The staff was professional and very eager to help. The pretzel burger at the bar was excellent. Enjoy. If using your Skygolf watch, the front nine is now the back nine and the back is now the front. FYI

I just started playing the course a few months ago. They had closed it for almost a year or so to redo everything. It still needed a little work here and here but its a great course now. If you played it a long time ago or even 2 years ago. you should really go back out there and give it another try. i see a lot of marks from 2011-2013. if you haven't played it in the last 6 months then go again. its a lot better then before.

The course is still ragged but since it got thru the worst drought year ever, with the recent rain and continued rain, it will improve greatly. Staff is great!

They have really let this course go. It used to be in good shape. It looks like they don't care anymore. No wonder the pace of play was so good, no one was playing on it.

The more rain we get, the better this course plays. I can almost always walk on as single and most often during the day play alone. The general manager is a great guy!

Love the layout, got my 1st hio there a few yrs back, but lately the course needs a lot of work. 1/3 is good, 1/3 is ok & 1/3 is terrible.
