Bernard & Margeret Simons owned property on which they had planted pines for Christmas trees. In the mid 60’s some people suggested they put in a golf course, which they did. Jerry Matthews designed the first 9 holes in 1966. Things went so well that in the early 70’s they added an additional 9 holes. The course is short (5,714 yards, 67.0/114). However, par is never a sure thing with the small and heavily contoured greens. They added some alternate tees in a few places that have not been rated yet and another couple hundred yards can be added. While not punishingly tight, wayward drives will typically result in punch outs or obstructed shots. Straight beats long & wrong here.

Minimal bunkering, limited water hazards and few forced carries make this user friendly for the higher handicapped golfer. It is a great course for families and seniors with just enough challenge for the better golfer.
