1997 PGA Championship winner Davis Love III designed this course – his first in the state of North Carolina – and bears a traditional, Carolina sand-hills appearance and feel. The club advertises a resemblance to many Donald Ross courses in North Carolina (especially around the greens) and quotes Love as saying that the course "is more than ready to host a major golfing evening." Anderson Creek has been rated 4.5 stars by Golf Digest's "Place to Play" feature.

Our group played this course and enjoyed our outing very much. We can attest to a comment relayed to us by another golfer that "this course can eat your lunch". This is a very enjoyable course that was in very good shape with a very good layout. We will be back to challenge this course again.

Quality golf course, the greens are what make the course. This is the second time I played this course and would recommend it to anyone looking to add a course to their outing.

Great course. Second time I played it. Took some friends there on a golf trip. It wasn't the same as in the summer but overall it was great. Everyone there was great even the people I met while playing the course. I would definitely recommend it.

Very Nice course with a great layout. Very tough greens with a lot of undulations. Course was in good shape considering all the rain that we had 2 days ago. They usually have good deals for locals to play and are always friendly. It is set through a housing development with very nice houses on the course. The only downside is there is a lot of OB stakes everywhere. I think it is challenging but fair course.

Great layout and challenging. Tees shots though important, your irons will make or break you here. We were lucky to be paired with someone familiar with the course and it helped. There are 1 or 2 blind shots but nothing to worry about. Course was in good shape for October and the staff was very friendly. This is a must play course. The fairways are truly rolling on some holes so you need to place your shots in the right place.

Course is in good shape. A few greens were a little rough but overall very good condition. Not quite target golf but course does make you think about placement. Would play again!
