Carefully manicured greens that are perfect, smooth and true bring out the best in any golfer’s game.

The lies are mostly level, but several extra long holes on this par 72 championship course invite golfers to test their skills and savor the game.

Fifty-two sand traps, 10 ponds, and fairways flanked by maturing trees add to the challenge.

Located less than one hour south of Columbus or east of Dayton

Layout was interesting. Maintenance was horrendous! Was told there was no management team and the state was doing maintenance--they should stick to the Interstate medians!!

Very wet so course played very long. Rain had washed most of the sand from bunkers and were unplayable. Fairways need work. Crabgrass is really growing in fairways and rough, and fairways had a lot of dead spots, likely form all the rain this season. It is a State Park, but geese on 18 made green almost unplayable. A little slow today as we had group in front with two gentlemen sharing clubs which slowed them down considerably. However, played here before and seen course in much better shape. Folks in Clubhouse always friendly. Good value, and food is not bad. Be out again in about 3 weeks. Really do like the place overall.

A nice course that never seems to be too busy.

The price brings out beginer players but it plays long so the pace of play can be very slow. I've never seen a ranger on the course to help. I guess you get what you pay for.
