Golf Digest ranks The Quarry as the #1 public course in Minnesota and #20 in the United States. Noted golf architecture critic Ron Whitten called The Quarry "hands down the finest course in Minnesota" and that "this Quarry will swallow up all Quarries before it, from Florida to California." The course runs through reclaimed mine lands, wetlands, forests and a former sand quarry.
The Legend course opened in 1997 and was tagged the #3 public course in Minnesota By Golf Digest. Marketing hype aside, the 17th hole of the Legends course might be one of the prettiest and most picturesque golf holes in the entire state.

Did the package 36 holes with a meal for 125. Great value and a great course. One of the best Minnesota golf trips a person can take is to Giants Ridge and golf the Legend and Quarry...... I will be back.

I liked playing this course; the only drawback was the greens were airated earlier in the week and were awful to putt on. This Sunday afternoon was overbooked and pace of play was very slow.
