If you have read Harry Hurt III's 1997 book "Chasing The Dream," you will already know about this course and the cast of characters that made the book such enjoyable and hilarious reading. If you haven't yet read it, the book is worth finding and reading.

As for the course itself, Sag Harbor is a 9-hole course located on a 48.8-acre peninsula of the Barcelona Neck Natural Resources Management Area. Two sets of tees are in play; the first nine plays to 2,661 yards; played a second time, the yardage becomes 2,732 for a total of 5,393 yards. The course has been owned by the New York State Office of Parks & Recreation and operated by club members since 1989.
