Golden Eagle GC lies near Eagle Lake on 210 acres of a former private preserve and features forests, wetlands, and numerous elevation changes. The green tee-boxes are a relatively new addition, while water is in play on ten holes. Practice facilities include a range and a large practice putting green with a green-side bunker. Golden Eagle was included in Golf Digest magazine's top 10 places to play in Minnesota for 2008-2009.

Excellent track with good scoring opportunities for the midlevel amateur player. Greens are usually clean, moderately quick and roll true. Easily the most underplayed of the Lakes area courses with overall playing conditions almost always perfect.
