NCC is a moderately challenging course with fast/true greens, tight fairways. and frequent elevation changes. A new irrigation and drainage system was installed during 2006-07. Keeping your ball in play is a must given the fair amount of OB and lateral hazards (the Normanskill River is in play on some holes). Most greens slope back-to-front (some severely), so playing short of the pin is always recommended. While the greens are well-bunkered, there is almost always room to run the ball up to green.
