This private club has several old stone water towers and a multitude of Native American artifacts found during construction of the course. The club preserved nearly all of them; some adorn the walls of the clubhouse. In fact, the name "Minisceongo" is thought to be a Tappan Indian word roughly translating to "small island." As for the course, it was designed by Roy Case and opened in 1994.

While Minisceongo is a private country club, they will host large and small corporate golf outings with prior arrangement.
