#18
Double Black Diamond at Holiday Valley
6677 Holiday Valley Rd
Ellicottville, NY 14731, United States

716.699.2345
The course is a blend of a mountain and flat terrain. Following a 2007 redesign by architect Paul Albanese, the relatively level first nine plays longer and is built around a series of ponds and bunkers.

Holes 10-18 wind through the base of the mountains and provides spectacular views. The fairways are well manicured and narrow and this nine provides a very stern test.

I played Double Black Diamond for the first time over the weekend with 3 friends. Course was in great shape and the staff couldn't have been more helpful/friendly. we were to have played another course in the area in addition to Holiday Valley, but opted instead to play all three days and 5 rounds at Double Black Diamond. Number 11 will make you think! Worth the trip!

I usually play Double Diamond a couple times a year and look forward to it. The changes to holes 11,14,17, and 18 are a great improvement. Tuff fast greens.
