Harbor Links Golf Course
1 W Fairway Dr
Port Washington, NY 11050-4669, United States

516 767 4807
This Hurdzan-Fry links-style course was built on a reclaimed sand mine; some interesting features include three holes with split fairways, while holes 12 and 13 sit on a former mine that echo some desert courses in the western U.S. Wetlands restoration included the use of insect-tolerant grasses to reduce the need for pesticides.

Non-resident rates for the 18-hole course are shown below.

Great course, worth the extra $25 compared to a public course

very pricey, and the ICE machine for the water was not working nor was the water cold. Nice course though very tough for a first timer.

Nice course but pricey especially if you're not a resident of area.

The greens here were absolutely immaculate. Rolled so smooth and true. Certainly the best greens i've played all year (Bethpage Black comes in a close second). Not for the golfer who prefers slow greens. The rough is punishing. In many spots the rough was thicker than the Black. On more than once occasion it hurt when I made contact on a full swing out of the rough. Pretty unnecessary to have the rough that long. Also, the course has internal out of bounds stakes in many places. I find it quite asinine to have two holes side by side but mark out of bounds in between the two. How can you have out of bounds when it is within the golf course boundaries??? They didn't let us take the cart up to the practice range. I outright asked the guy working the lot and he said "there is no room for carts up at the range" when I walked up to the range with my bag I saw a long strip of concrete that looked perfect for parking a golf cart. They also don't let you take the golf carts down to the practice green. They say that the rule is that you are sent down ten minutes before your tee time to go and putt. I prefer to putt for as long as I please and we took the cart down early anyway but not without some BS from the workers. Overall the place was in great shape. I'd like to see a lot of the rough cut down. I think Arnold Palmer (his management company runs the property) would be embarrassed by all of the rules they have. It's a little bit stuffy and pricey but a good, challenging golf course.
