Eaton Canyon Golf Course was originally planned as an 18-hole facility. Ultimately, this 9-hole course opened in 1962 with a design by William F. "Billy" Bell. Opening day ceremonies included a golf outing in which dignitaries and local golf professionals participated, including 1961 PGA champion Jerry Barber.
