Cannon Air Force Base's golf course has always been busy since it opened with nine holes in 1954. The second nine opened in 1994, so now the full eighteen holes play to just under 6,000 yards. Given the compatible year-round weather, this is one of the busiest courses in all of the United States Air Force.

As this course is on an active military base, off-base guests need to be accompanied by a golfer with a valid DoD-issued ID. Access instructions are also listed on the course web page. The standard civilian / guest walking rates are $22 on weekdays, then $25 on weekends and holidays (carts are $14).
