  SEATRAIL1 - 10/28/15
A public course, set in the foothills with fast greens, and some very challenging holes. Plays longer then the reported 6368 yards.
One of four courses owned by Morris County.

First I attempted to check in with the starter who replied, "I'll get to you in a little bit". I then paid and was told that the tee times were backed up by over 20 mins and that they were trying to get power carts back to send out again. Honestly, this is the first golf course that I've ever played that didn't have enough power carts for the the players. As I sat there and waited for me tee time, the starter now approached me saying that he could give me a push cart and that they would bring me out a power cart by the 2nd or 3rd hole! For me it wasn't a problem, it is just the principle of paying for a power cart and not having one, but what do they do when older people or people with mobility problems want to play. Oh so sorry, I don't have a cart for you, too bad! Once that all was squared away (I got my cart at the 2nd green) we were on our way. The layout of the course was nice and challenging, however, several greens were beat up pretty bad and there was crap laying on each and every one. Lastly, I had a 2:20 tee time, was sent out at 2:45 and didn't get back to the clubhouse until a few minutes before 8:00. The pace of play was HORRIBLE. Shot, wait, repeat for over 5 hours. Insanely slow! I didn't see one single ranger on the course to maintain play speed. I am a county resident so I my rate was reasonable, however, I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to go back.

After the first hole the condition of the course was pretty bad.
  GBOGEY - 7/25/11
Nice public course in good condition. Nice but not outstanding layout. Short distances are more than offset by its narrowness. Like is best of the Morris County courses.
  Squeeks08 - 6/9/10
A well maintained course for a county course. Once the improvments are finished the course will play more difficult. Greens can be inconsistant from day to day. Overall for a county resident you can't beat the value.
